What vehicle(s) do you drive?
77 Pontiac Firebird 472, 88 Chevy c1500 350
Looking to do as the title says wondering if anyone has done this swap before and knows what is needed to make this happen.

So far, I have the engine and trans out of a '70 Deville. I only know I'll need a different oil pan, and I've heard I need mounts from a 425. Other than that, I'm not sure.
 
Are you planning to keep the motor stock? A rear sump oil pan off a Eldo are hard to find... There are a few things to do to the mortor before you put it in..

Thread 'Cadillac 500 in a Camaro'

Hello everyone. Just signed up here.
Anyway I am going to go look at buying a 500cid with transmission this morning with the idea of fitting it into my 77 Camaro. I've seen several Camaro's that have the 500 in them and wanted to put one in my car.
I asked on a Camaro forum about doing this and the only response I got was to just put a 454 in the car.
So I wonder if there is anyone here that has done this and can help me out?

I have been told that to do this swap I am going to need a 4 core radiator, shorter drive shaft, move the transmission crossmember farther back and fabricate...

If you read my build you will how its done,

one thing we always do too the caddys is put a 1/16th notch in the forward half of the front main bearing to ad a bit of oil too the timing chain.
