Even the CT5-V Blackwing can't compete with instant electric torque and all-wheel-drive grip.
Cadillac’s V-Series model lineup has officially made the jump to the EV era. The brand’s latest entry, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V, is the first all-electric model to carry the performance moniker. Delivering on the promise of its name, the Lyriq-V aims to impress by being the quickest-accelerating Caddy we’ve ever seen.
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V arrives as the range-topping trim for the handsome EV SUV, and carries some familiar features found on other GM BEV3 platform vehicles. A dual-motor powertrain provides the car with all-wheel-drive capability, as well as a significant power bump over lesser trims: Cadillac says the -V will be good for around 615 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, which the brand says will allow the SUV to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, enabling it to get the jump off the line on even the mighty likes of the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing. That also places the Lyriq-V ahead of both the 499-hp Acura ZDX Type S and Chevy Blazer EV SS, based on the same platform.
Like those vehicles, the Lyriq-V utilizes the same 102 kWh battery pack as lesser trimmed models. As such, Cadillac expects the Lyriq-V to only deliver around 285 miles of range. Don’t expect to see that figure last once you start to get into the skinny pedal, however. Read more...
