The point of these things is to be able to face the electrode towards the cylinder wall and leave the spark wide open to the chamber and air/fuel mixture. Do these things really do any good? I've tried a set and didn't really notice any difference, that is with the admittedly subjective ass dyno. Not only that, but when I took them out, my idle seemed to smooth out just a little. The only reason I can figure is that having the spacers in there put the plugs too far up into the threaded hole and gets them too far away from the chamber.

Potter, you have said here in the past that taking out even the washers with which the spark plugs come has been known to add 20 hp. Did you concern yourself with indexing the plugs when you did that? And do the plugs seal okay without their own washers?

Anyone else with thoughts on indexing washers, I'm all ears.

Tried indexing on a mild 500 in a Cutlass along time ago. Tried 4 different positions and changed them at the track on the same day with no repeatable difference in ET. Just my experiance.

Word is he got conformation that the Maddog will be there this weekend and has been busy installing
"jersey" barriers around mom's garden. :bs:

                                            Or not. ;)

  Funny thing

After 2007 you wont be able to use jersey barriers anymore as they cause bad accidents to become worse accidents.
the outer shape of the barriers force cars that come in contact with the barrier back out into traffic ....then you get those life flight laden 5 hour parking lot accidents.
"oh jiffy maddog missed the garden and ran into the house"
This being the case I think maybe potter should go and see if he can get some junk cars and possibly park the stategically around the property to protect the garden and  bystanders, also known as potential customers.
Maybe NASCAR would be interested in using potters party as a test for some impact barriers ?

We're waiting til after the party to plant. It's all his! The reason behind the gain was a more centered plug as far as in the chamber. Din't pay much attention to where it landed. Bob Glidden does.

Ahh lol lol lol   Thats funny.  Poor Maddog's caught a lot of ribbin from "the garden incident".

I think it was the gunman from the building who blinded him with a mirror causing him to run over the grassy knoll.     Its like the never ending story of who shot JFK.  Umm with all due respect to the family of JFK.

Wasn't that the original design intention of the Jersey Barrier to deflect a car back unto the roadway?

~JM~

Yes and they worked at 45-55 mph
who besides grandma drives 55 mph anymore ?
