What vehicle(s) do you drive?
1939 Cadillac LaSalle 1933 Ford coupe 1926 Ford
I seem to be in the wrong place when it comes to the Cadillac engines. I have a 60 390 CI n my 33 Ford coupe with a 4 speed Saginaw 9 inch rear 3:50 gears. The engine I am building is a 54 331 with a 52 Ford 3 speed truck transmission open drive in a 26 Ford coupe 8 inch 3:08 gears. Over the weekend I picked up another 390 CI that was cheap and it still turns over by hand with a ratchet.no carb no distributor. The other engine is a 500 CI with a turbo 400 in a short box 34 Ford pick up 9 inch 3:50 gear. I also do Chevy stuff and I have a first generation 392 Hemi at the machine shop for my second 33 Ford coupe. All of these cars are built from the frame up and both 33 coupes are built with scrap pieces that other will not use. A stock 1939 Cadillac LaSalle . A 51 Shoe box Ford with 350/350 combo a 54 Pontiac just sitting trying to figure out what combo for drive line and rear. I am too old to spend a lot of time on the computer and retired for 10 years.

The answer for the oil pump with a line running to the block is a vacuum pump piggy backed off the oil pump for wipers!

Coupe 33,

Welcome!

Nice to have another "retiree" on board. Our time is too limited to jack around!

Seems you have no shortage of fun toys to play with. As for being in the wrong place that might be the case as things are a bit slow around here now days. But if the topic is the 472-500-425 cubic inch engine family there are those here with similar interest. My addiction is a 1950 Studebaker Champion 4Dr with a Caddy 500. Just Sayin.

Best,

bro. d
