Well I'm tickeled. Been working on the Buick Regal I got from Paul Brush this winter. Seems like after the engine was all glued together we would never get it on the road. Two steps forward and one back each time we worked on it. Got the engine fired yesterday and found that at idle a few cylinders wern't hitting, and they would at part throttle. Yanked off the 800 Holley and put on the 870 today and they all hit quite well. Car sounds good with Cooke's Headers and just a few bugs to work out. Need a better radiator cap and installed a makeshift overflow bottle. Filled the rear with some 90 wt. and topped of the transmission with leaky pan and rolled out of the driveway. Passed a cop in the first 1/2 mile from the shop and had to idle her down a bit. No power steering yet so had to take it easy thru town. Opened it up just a bit in a spot or two and back to garage. A bit more tweaking and off to the $2.34 per gallon gas station for some juce. $30 later and we head for the 4 lane to let her get a breath of some fresh air from beeing cooped up so long. She pulls pretty good and I'm tickeled. I guess a few more tweaks and some more seat time and I think she will make the drive to Potters. Lord willing and the creek don't rise. Plenty of room for improvement all round, and the heads Potter is working on for we might wake her up a bit. Look forward to seeing Y'all at Potters, I'll be the bald headed fat man in a turd brown Regal with a mild 500 under the hood.

Nicely done, Don. Those first few drives are nerve wracking and fun at the same time!  You live about an hour North of Potter's?

Just a litle nerve wracking. Forgot to mention I also passed a State Trooper on the 4 lane just after letting her breath a bit. Yes, I am about an hour north of Potter just off Hwy 27 near Interstate 40 in Harriman. I will be looking for some of the guys comming in from parts North of here. I plan on a few more shakedown runs before the trip to Potters.

Don,

Way to go.  Nice to see another Caddy powered Gbody on the road.  I just recieved my set of ported Iron's from Potter.  Damm did he do an awesome job      You should be very pleased when you get them

Don,
Good job. Wish mine was running. I got away from it a month ago, and can't seem to get back. Spring and all the outside work crap is hurting.
