Well I'm tickeled. Been working on the Buick Regal I got from Paul Brush this winter. Seems like after the engine was all glued together we would never get it on the road. Two steps forward and one back each time we worked on it. Got the engine fired yesterday and found that at idle a few cylinders wern't hitting, and they would at part throttle. Yanked off the 800 Holley and put on the 870 today and they all hit quite well. Car sounds good with Cooke's Headers and just a few bugs to work out. Need a better radiator cap and installed a makeshift overflow bottle. Filled the rear with some 90 wt. and topped of the transmission with leaky pan and rolled out of the driveway. Passed a cop in the first 1/2 mile from the shop and had to idle her down a bit. No power steering yet so had to take it easy thru town. Opened it up just a bit in a spot or two and back to garage. A bit more tweaking and off to the $2.34 per gallon gas station for some juce. $30 later and we head for the 4 lane to let her get a breath of some fresh air from beeing cooped up so long. She pulls pretty good and I'm tickeled. I guess a few more tweaks and some more seat time and I think she will make the drive to Potters. Lord willing and the creek don't rise. Plenty of room for improvement all round, and the heads Potter is working on for we might wake her up a bit. Look forward to seeing Y'all at Potters, I'll be the bald headed fat man in a turd brown Regal with a mild 500 under the hood.
