Anyone know of a drop on rotor for the older chev trucks that has a "chevelle" bolt pattern? I could probably re-drill the stock rotors, but I was hoping something might fit. Afaik, the rotors are 12".

TIA
Dave

Dave,
Look for a 1974 1/2 ton van.  It had the 4 3/4" bolt pattern.
75 and later was the same with a 5' bolt pattern.  I learned this
ther hard way.  I still have a new set of wagon-spoke wheels
for the 74.

Exactly, I used this on a 70 Chevy to convert to disk brakes and Chevelle wheels.

you remember if they were 11" or 12"? Advanced lists 71-74 van rotor different than '75 up, but lists it as fitting a bunch of cars too.

thanks.

RAYBESTOS Part # 5006R
ACDELCO Part # 18A2

Were the only rotors I see for a '74 Chevy Van (not counting the 8bolt hubs).
Those are 11.86" rotors, but are 5on5.
They are a one piece design was used starting in '71 (at least on the Cadillacs). They fit lots of vehicles, into the 80s.

That's probably the two-piece to one-piece switch in '71. I'd expect the smaller pattern to be 11".
The above 5on5 rotors are 12" and I cannot think of a reason for two 12" rotors.

STDog,

As I feared. Trucks are 12". If there is no 12" rotor to fit, it's probably best to re-drill rotors. There is a 12" rotor from camaro/firebird with some sort of option package, but it might drop into truck spindles.

thanks.

Check the bearings, particularly the inner diameter/shaft size.
A spacer, to center the rotor in the caliper, is simple enough.
