If anyone else has been scammed by Tony Doyle AKA 8AD-F85 please contact the Duluth Police Department.

Ryan Temple <rtemple@DuluthMN.gov>

As I figured he has stopped responding to my emails and PM's. He stole $3,500.00 from me for a stroker cadillac he promised to have completed before memorial day weekend of 2018. He "needed" the money to buy parts for the build. The balance was to be the trade of my Cadillac I was currently running on my airboat. Part way through he called stating he was having trouble sourcing the block to build off of and asked if I was "die hard Cadillac" that he could build a chevy easier. I agreed but never received anything. He offered a full refund after several missed deadlines and no idea of when he could complete it when money was "stolen" from him by another forum member. He never sent me a penny of a refund that was promised. I offered to drive from Nebraska to Duluth to collect any parts that I paid for or a refund but was told if I did I would end up in jail. I know I am not the only one who has lost money or parts to him. My ex wife passed away on Labor Day and I could have really used the money to help with taking care of my son alone and to settle her estate for him. He prayed on my trust in people and stole my money.

I sent an email. Also, based on the amount here, it's looking like he's done this for about $40K. I am into it for half of that.

It's also across state borders. Might be time to reach out the FBI.

What he still has of mine:

  • 1K cash
  • A very high end LS2 with Tony Mamo heads, dual cab intake with carbs, roller rockers, big cam, Callies crank, Callies rods, Callies forged coated pistons, etc. Baffled oil pan.
  • Extra things like a 4 barrel LS2 intake and carb, MSD LS timing controller, MSD coils, cams, pretty much all the engine build stuff I had
  • A complete low mile Cad 500
  • A bunch of Cad 50o hop up parts, including a full rebuild kit, roller shaft mount rockers, intakes and more.
  • 2 sets of Cad 500 heads
  • A complete Jeep 4L
  • A Jeep I6 stroker crank
  • A very high end 4L80E

This is all stuff he said he would send back, but never did.

I have received nothing. No refund, no parts, not engine. I am getting no response from him. The PD said it was a civil matter for me and was why I was hoping others could contact them and maybe get something going.

Well, I'm not an attorney and I don't even play one of TV, but since Mr. Doyle's activities involve numerous claims from apparently defrauded individuals, and those claims involve crossing state lines, and the total dollars defrauded are in excess of what would be a misdemeanor - thereby constituting potentially felonies, I suggest you stop dinking around with local police and contact the US Attorney(s) in you areas. Those phone numbers use to be in the old white pages under US Government -- but in this digital age are provided by Google:

https://www.google.com/search?ei=5f...&ved=0ahUKEwiqm7rImKvpAhXQ7Z4KHZyEDIYQ4dUDCAs

Cutting to the chase:

https://www.justice.gov/usao/us-attorneys-listing

To get the direct phone number(s) find the US Attorney for your region, or your state, click there followed by the "contact" box for the phone number.

Best,

bro. "Perry Mason" d
(I know, your check is in the mail )

Did you ever get anything back from him?

Did he rip you off, too?
No. He's my ex husband and I saw him do this to others. No. I'm not an embittered ex. What he's been doing is criminal and he's been getting away with it far too long

I'd love to get my stuff back, but imagine it's probably sold off a long time ago.

Have you tried contacting him on Facebook? He doesn't use his real name. He has 2 accounts under different names. Lars Deville and Lars Todd

Has anyone received anything back from him? I tried to just let it go but I’m really having a hard time doing that. It makes me sick how much he’s taken from me. He has a motor of mine that I had nearly 9k into and plus $4500 in cash. Same as you guys I get the run around with him and tons of excuses. I just don’t know what I should do… since I gave him cash I don’t know how it can be proved.

I still have received nothing to return my money. I would suggest you possibly contact the detective I talked to in my first post and see if he can help. Might reference this thread to him to see that it involves multiple offenses. He stopped responding to me all together a long time ago. I'm out $3,500. It hurts but I haven't lost nearly as much as you other guys.
