Is a reverse flow rad. different? If so will the big Cad. care? can I run it. Found BIG aluminum rad. in the alley. Looks to be for later mod. pick-up with LS. Yes I did have it checked and repaired

In what way is it a reverse flow? Does the water come in from the bottom?
My limited understanding leads me to believe that certain more modern engine utilize reverse flow, but a reverse flow radiator is new to me.

bro. "curious" d.

Found this:

"Reverse Flow Radiator: Unlike a conventional cooling system, the thermostat coolant outlet is connected to the bottom of the radiator. This forces the coolant entering the radiator to push up through the radiator core and eventually emerge through the top radiator coolant outlet."

O.K. then. By the explanation you have just given, the rad. doesn't care. Will send pix soon of garbage picked rad.

Is the inlet bigger than the outlet that radiator? Isn’t the physical size of a truck radiator pretty large compared to the front of your car?
