I haven't been here for a while, and was looking for a new place to go when I want a break, or to talk about car things, particularly my 2G CTS-V. Low usage and a change in ownership seems to have left this forum pretty lax lately. This can change with a rejuvenation effort, followed by getting the word out. My back-of-the-envelop thinking:
First, look at the other Cadillac forums out there and see where the volume posts are. Note the topics that draw a lot of usage, and read enough of the posts to get an idea of what people are doing online in the more active threads.
Second, look at where people go to solve problems, and the help that they are given. This kind of interaction builds loyal users.
Third, block out a new set of topics. Do several drafts, until you can get someone to look at it "cold" (that is, see a list of proposed topics for the first time) and immediately express interest in at least one or two topics. You will need a new person for each such test, of course.
You can implement the new set of topics by pinning them above the existing topics here.
Getting out the word can start with a notification email using your existing mailing list for forum updates. Work with Google, DuckDuckGo, InfoSpace (Dogpile, webcrawler), Ask.com, etc. to get searches for Cadillac help, forums, or information to list cadillacpower.com (or cadillacmagazine.com/forums/forums/) on the first page of links.
Sponsor cars on other Internet sources, like Cleetus Mcfarland's popular YouTube channel. That should be very affordable.
Feature news when anyone does something exciting with a Cadillac.
Cadillac has been mopping the floor with manufacturer's championship in the GT3 series races for years. Cadillac has a full-on IMSA race program. Each deserves its own topic, or even a forum. See https://www.cadillac.com/world-of-cadillac/racing
