Transplanted a 500 Cadillac/400 TH setup into my Hudson and would like to setup gas pedal
linkage that would engage kick down switch. I did not see original Cadillac pedal linkage and s-l1600-1.jpg s-l1600.jpg
was wondering if this pedal and linkage could be used. I have a Holley carb/Edelbrock manifold.
If anyone has done this, could you advise as to how to hook up detent switch?
Thanks in advance

You could use a microswitch attached to the carb itself to denote WOT.

Would prefer to use this setup if it is possible.
Does anyone know if it is?

I personally would use a micro switch on the carb as recommended earlier.

For the record the switch attached to the pedal looks a lot like the stock one which is mounted next to the carb and tripped by the linkage.

Just sayin,

Interesting, I never saw the original pedal setup from the Cadillac.

I ran this switch on the pedal for a long time. Worked fine, just have to place it correctly so the pedal has full travel but also trips the switch at the right time. Can't remember what car I got it out of, maybe a caprice 9C1 car. I ran ignition switched power from the fuse box to it.
