I have a cad 500 motor out of a 76 deville. The oil pickup clogged and it lost oil pressure and tore up pretty much every bearing in the motor. There is some decent scratching in the cylinder walls. The crank is warped, so I decided to go a different route.

The plus side is I have a 2215 intake, eldo pan, and pretty much everything else for the motor. It’s just in pieces. The starter and alternator were pretty much brand new. The intake had the Edelbrock logo shaved off, but still has the 2115 on the intake runner. The eldo pan had what I’m guessing to be a crack in it that had been repaired when I got it and it never leaked on me.

I’d really like for someone to take all of it. Not interested in separating at this point. I have a cherry picker and can help you load it if need be. I’d like to get $300 for all of it. Not looking to get rich and if someone else can use it, that’s awesome. It’s all located just outside of Raleigh, NC. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

Not sure what’s going on with that attachments, but clearly I am too stupid to figure it out. If there’s anything specific you would like a picture of, let me know and I’ll do my best.

Bump......thought I had a buyer, but the deal fell through.

Therefore, I’ve decided to pay it forward and give the lot of it to whoever comes to pick it up first. That’s right, FREE.99. Hopefully it goes to someone who can use these parts to finish up a project.

No shipping/holding or any of that stuff. Just come pick it up and it’s yours. I have a cherry picker to help load the heavier stuff.

It’s the least I could do. Everyone in the Cadillac community has gone above and beyond to help me in the past. I wish I could keep the motor and put it in something else, but I’ve got to stop kidding myself. I’ve got too many projects. I’ll be back one day. The torque is addicting in these things.

Sorry PJ. I should have checked back here more often. Not sure why I’m still not getting email notifications. PM replied.

Yes I did. Hell of a guy. I have half to speed a lot of time with my aging parents. Kinda zapped my moyovation. I talked with a machine shop in Norfolk VA and he said its extremely hard to warp a crank from a caddy engine. He said the original owner's shop didn't have the knowledge to fix that big ctank. This shop specializes in desiel engines. 250 and he can off set the crank for me. I'm thinking of going with the BBC connecting rods but that's in the future. My dash is still not complete.

Yo, PJ, what it is?

Sorry for the strain of your parents - cause I'm starting be one on my family. Sucks don't it.

Still back-when, I was where you are but with my Mom. Now decades later there are zero regrets for having done the right thing. We do what we got to do cause it is necessary and because it is right.

Be blessed My Brother,

d
