Might look cool with a lift kit...or as a hovercraft.
Folks have done every modification of the corvette fiberglass one could imagine.Guys are working on a Duramax conversion. These GMC guys are worse than Mopar guys, they love them.
Curious what kind of mileage they're getting out of a Duramax swap.
I've worked with a few 36' Mopar 440's, increasing the mileage significantly.
I believe there's more improvement to be had with the 500 Cad over the Mopar.
If this is a hijack, new post or pm.
Olds 455 or 500 cad is the norm.I t meant the mopar guys are mopar guys.same as a proud gmc owner at a campground next to million dollar bricks.
I knew what you meant about brand enthusiasm.
I can definitely see the advantage of Olds 455's and Cad 500's.
Wondering more about the Duramax? Seems rather involved.
The Olds and the Cad both are good for 10-13 mpg.I don't think its worth the effort but to each his own.
Here is the story...

I got that 440 to 12+ mpg, and I feel that both the 455 and 500 have some very distinct advantages over it.
Now that there's a "tow pig" thread going, I don't have to derail this one any further!
