Cadillac engine swap in GMC motorhome

    The only reason I haven't gone serpentine myself is my desire to add a York compressor for onboard air.

    Have you considered building a standalone unit using a small starter motor to drive the compressor?
    We used to have a fellow in the motorhome group that built such a unit for the air suspension.
    Unfortunately, he passed away and no one else picked up on it. Probably because of all the cheap
    Chinese ones flooding the market.

    I plan on a little more heavy duty setup to be able to air tires back up after off road use and to run air tools. Starter motors are not designed for continuous duty.
