working on a 1973 501 it has 130 lbs in all cylinders. starts right up runs good. but is pushing oil out the dipstick hole. shows no sign of blow bye any where else. could anything else cause this? or am i in blow bye denial.

It's a 500-Cad never made a 501. ;) Make sure the pcv valve and all related hoses are intact and clean, including the one going to the opposite valve cover. It won't push oil out the stick if it's able to breathe as designed. Maybe someone has modified something and removed a vent or kinked a breather hose?
I suppose somebody could have replaced the dipstick tube incorrectly but that's a stretch.
