And Colorado. The one in New York is too rusty to even make a good boat anchor...…………..but at least it is only $620.

No not at all. I run into caddy stuff all the time up here now that i'm into them and paying attention.

EBay is good at spending people's money. It's a lot easier to click buy it now than actually go on the hunt for something. But no, those ads won't sell.

The old saying that there is, "a sucker born every minute" must be catching up for lost time for this many crazy ass offerings to show up.

Sorry, but those don't tickle the fancy of this old country boy!

    Best,

I like the one for $1800 that is powerwashed (I am fully confident they didn't get any water in the cylinders or heads or intake)

and "was running on good 1 - 19 psi oil pressure"!

And "has good compression", although they didn't bother to list what it was.........

And "motor was completely gone through 4 years ago", maybe it was when it "gone through" the power washer or car wash.........

And carb is "brand new and completely rebuilt", so apparently they rebuilt a new carb? Notice that the carb is in a box and not on the motor, but I am sure it was for that motor.

But wait, they said the motor was running good, but the carb has never been installed? So how did they get the motor running good if the carb has never been used?

How can you not snap up this deal?

How about the 125 compression all around on the 72 Eldo motor? Isn't that the 76cc head? I have 150 all around on my motor. Sounds like that thing is beat.

Maybe the person doing the compression test forget to prop open the throttle blades of the carb??? Or, it could be that the test was done at the top on Mount Washington? :geek:

Or the one they want $620 for the long block that is sitting in the dirt outside in the bushes. “Was working fine until car overheated and cracked rods”
I would be a lil' skeptical of that one, it has the notorious brittle cadillac rods

    https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-...435908?hash=item23c1a167c4:g:v-wAAOSwQhNdNbIx

It even says it is a FAIR price........

I think he should throw in a free 4-foot breaker bar and 1/2 gallon of WD-40 to sweeten the deal, so you can get the motor to even turn over.

That thing will need to be dunked into a horse trough full of acetone/ATF for a week to get it to turn over. Then it will need thousands in half assed machine work to frustrate whoever would be dumb enough to buy it.

I see these things and makes me glad that the "4" running condition 500s I have must be worth $1000s so I can retire off them in 38 years.
    Lol lol

It would take a horse trough full of acetone, just to kill whatever is probably living inside there. I would be afraid of bringing that into the machine shop. Bet it has a hoard of spiders, mice, centipedes, etc. from being buried in the dirt for 10 years. At least it had a blue tarp covering it to lock in all the moisture and keep it and the vermin from escaping.

OMG, I checked and the one for $1800 SOLD!!!!
Maybe you could retire on 4 "running condition" 500s?
