Its on facebook in Nevada Missouri To far of a drive for me and I have a good stock anyhow. Comes with the headers in pic says was running when pulled? Looks really faded. I’m suspicious. Anyway if you want to reach them PM me your phone or email and I will send it to them. Possibly you can locate the facebook ad. Can’t tell if its sitting high enough in rear to have Eldo pan. 472?

If it is a '74 and it has a stock HEI, it is either a 500 off an eldo or a 500 out of a fleetwood. You could get a 500 in a commercial chassis in '74, but it should not have come with an HEI, although a fleetwood with a 500 may have had an HEI or points depending on the month. A '74 472 would not have come with an HEI. The '74 eldo 500 was the first car to only come with an HEI from GM in 1974. Of course, whoever ran that ad may be wrong on the year, or could have swapped in an HEI distributor on a 472. If you look up old factory tune up specs, they list specs for both points and HEI for 500s but only lists specs for points on the 472.

From the photo, if it was front sump, the crank pulley would not be touching the dirt but the flywheel would, unless they dug out a hole for the pan before they rolled it over. It appears to have been sitting on the passenger exhaust, then stood up for the photo. Since they have extra swap rear drive headers, they may have already swapped the eldo exhaust to deville from whatever they pulled this out of or this is most likely a 500 engine from a Fleetwood, which would be front sump. From the tilt on the engine sitting, it looks rear sump to me. So this is a mystery (either the pan was swapped or the exhaust). Most likely this is not all original.

If it were closer I’d offer half that because it’s likely stuck. Looks like never covered

Yes, probably stuck. But on a good note those headers are worth $300 by them selves if they will fit your application. The oil pan and pick up is worth a few hundred. And we know those stock rusty cast iron exhaust manifolds are worth $500 each apiece easy , just by looking on Ebay . Looking again, I am not sure those are Caddy headers, but look like BBC. The tube should be squared where it goes into the flange, I can't tell. If they are BBC, gonna lose all that purty coating making them fit the Caddy square port.

If its an Eldo pan it has value otherwise good for start of some fabricating. I offered an Eldo pan and pickup to a guy for $150 who said $50 would be allot. I explained what it would cost me to just replace the pickup tube. I think he thought I didn’t know what I was talking about. Don’t know what he wound up doing
