Engine is running again - sounds like a hole new animal with the headers and dual 3 inch exhaust - dynomax race bullet mufflers
couldnt get it to idle - secondary linkage backed off and the secondaries were almost closed shut - tighted up the link and adjusted for .040 of the transfer slot - running 30 degrees at idle - AFR is showing 22.1:1
but idles fine cant hear a lean miss - Word is that cams with overlap show up extra lean at idle.
Yep been there.. Don't know if you recall but it seems I told ya when you dumped that old ex and manifolds the idle would go way up..
I think your onto something with that o2 cause the way mine is acting dosent make sense.. idle readings are in the 15's but if I enrich it much at all its loading up.. and the idle is at peak rpm
per throttle opening. . Then it goes way rich when cruising. .
Went to the track yesterday. Drove 30km there and back - no traction, track wouldn't hold the transbrake or footbrake with a ramp into the pedal.
mph looked good - 90mph in the 1/8 getting out of it to drive it. best ET was 12.57 at 110mph 2.1 60ft. Truck feels a lot stronger then 3 years ago.
Wish I had traction - it would have been in the 11's. I think I need better rear shocks - the ones on the rear are off the front of the truck - and have 90/10 calverts on the front.

I want the truck to be able to run strong on a street tire through full exhaust (the video has full exhaust on it, 3" dynomax race bullets). I don't think there is much difference between the slick and the et street when it comes to a prepped surface (this track was not glued at all).
The Et street has a much stiffer sidewall then a D06 hoosier and in the video if you slow it down It hit the tire enough to crunch the sidewall, something that isn't supposed to happen on a radial - I think I had to much preload on the cal tracks and it was smashing the tire.
My only experience with et streets is that you have to get the first round very hot and needs a big long burnout. Also the pressure around 12psi seems to give best results but some ppl find going that low a little scary.
Sounds like you have some suspension timing to do. It runs really good and sounds bad ass. Keep at it, you'll get there
