Do you think it can be welded up and re-ground
    Pic. or two if possible.

    "Thanks!"

The machine shop I use has done tins for me on a 500 crank, and they are typically quite reasonable. They charged me $250.00 which was worth it for a 500 crank since the rest just needed to be polished. It does seem that the thrust bearing goes when a transmission r at least the converter goes out for some reason. This one won't be "free", and by the time you pay for shipping I could think you could do better..

The 425 I have came out of my '79 Paris ("El Camino" style) conversion. I'm lucky that the cylinders are still standard, because it seems that 425 (specific) parts like oversized pistons seem to have disappeared from the marketplace. When I get the 500 out of my '73 and "freshened up" the 425 is my next project. I've got a 10 under crank and bearing set, and the motor will be re-rung with a #10 cam and go in my cousin's 29 roadster.

"Ted" thanks, but I think I have a solid lead on a complete engine here local.
If it doesn't pan out I'll get back in touch.
