For the fifth consecutive year, Cadillac will return as official automotive partner and vehicle provider of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences for the 90thOscars. The brand will run three television spots on Oscars night that focus on performance, technology and the future of Cadillac vehicles. The spots include the first glimpse of the highly anticipated, all-new Cadillac XT4 SUV, which will be revealed in New York later this month.

“Cadillac is proud to be a part of the Academy Awards, one of the most iconic platforms that reaches audiences across the globe,” said Cadillac Director of Marketing Renée Rauchut. “Having been featured in more than 10,000 films and television shows, Cadillac has always played a significant role in the arts. The Oscars is a natural fit for the brand and the perfect stage to reveal our exhilarating new creative, including a preview of the first-ever Cadillac XT4 and a look at our industry-leading Super Cruise technology. We’re excited to show the world what the future holds for Cadillac.” Read more...

So, I'm not a fan of crossovers. SUV body on a car chassis? You end up with the worst of both worlds. Small, underpowered motor trying to haul around a large, ungainly body. Handling suffers because of the weight, and the proportions of the body are all off. Yuk! That being said, I realize that manufactures aren't making cars for me. And, IMO, the xt5 is the best looking option in the segment, and from the silhouettes of the xt4 I've seen, it seems they may be heading in the right direction. I wish they'd just make station wagons again. At least then there's a chance of a performance variant to keep us hobbyist happy.

I read were cadillac sales have been up world wide. They really have given alot of attention to datail. Even the comoacts they have for this year give M.Benz class c cars a blood nose. Those little suv are going to stomp the competition.
Im liking the newer caddies more and more. Simply because im more connected to them now. With the forum change. Thats a good thing to me. We get to keep the old school and look into the future as well. I dont like the self driving car.

I’m with nosgood on this one, really wish they never did away with the CTS-V wagon.

As far as crossovers go at least it doesnt look to be going to the “rounded” style and staying with the crisp sharp lines

The only comment made so far was he was happy with it and that he should be cause it was expensive. I'm surprised he bought it and really surprised he bought that bright red.
It does make some sense though. He's a GM exec in a newly formed division and got a good deal. Plus I've been pushing him for years to buy Caddy V series.
I'll see it Christmas. Maybe a road report.

If you don't posting, how much was the Cadillac XT4?... since it was mentioned that it was expensive.
