To celebrate winning the 2017 IMSA Manufacturer, Driver, Team and Endurance Championships, Cadillac announced today the Championship Edition for all three of its ultra-high-performance models – the 2018 Cadillac ATS-V coupe and sedan, and the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V super sedan.
The special edition models celebrate Cadillac’s first-ever endurance racing Manufacturer’s Championship, secured in the first year of the brand’s return to the long-distance sport. Highlighting the interior of the Championship Edition is the Morello Red interior detail package that includes Jet Black RECARO® race-inspired seats, red front and rear door armrests and Morello accented high gloss carbon fiber interior trim. Other interior features include the Performance Data Recorder with Cosworth Toolbox, sunroof, the industry leading Rear Camera Mirror and next-generation Cadillac user experience.
In July Cadillac sold 24,769 new vehicles globally, an increase of 20.9 percent. The sharp increase was driven by the brand’s newest models, the CT6 prestige sedan and XT5 luxury crossover, as well as the ATS product line supported by continued strong growth in China.
Sales in China soared 89.7 percent in July. Cadillac is experiencing sustained growth in China, the world’s largest market, with sales up 23.9 percent so far in 2016. Cadillac registered July growth in the U.S. and Canada as well, led by the new 2017 XT5.
The new XT5 sold 8,130 units in July, the most since its launch this past spring. Sales of Cadillac’s sporty ATS sedan and coupe models grew 32 percent globally in July. Benefitting from an acceleration in its production rate, the Escalade’s sales increased again in July, with sales up 4.3 percent overall in 2016.
In the U.S., the brand experienced volume growth while continuing to earn a premium position in the marketplace. Cadillac average transaction prices topped $53,000 per unit (according to J.D. Power Information Network), the highest among full-line luxury brands.
Cadillac today introduced the Carbon Black sport package for the 2017 model year editions of the Cadillac ATS and CTS product lines, including the ATS-V and CTS-V super sedan.
The Carbon Black sport package — which includes the first-ever Black Chrome grille for V-Series models and RECARO® front seats for Cadillac ATS Sedan and Coupe models — further enhances the engaging performance and striking design of Cadillac’s driver’s cars.
Cadillac’s ATS and CTS product lines received additional key refinements for 2017, including new, more streamlined trim levels. Production for the 2017 model year begins later this summer, and dealers can now accept orders. Carbon Black sport package content for each model is listed below.
