Cadillac Introduces Exclusive V-Series Championship Editions

To celebrate winning the 2017 IMSA Manufacturer, Driver, Team and Endurance Championships, Cadillac announced today the Championship Edition for all three of its ultra-high-performance models – the 2018 Cadillac ATS-V coupe and sedan, and the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V super sedan.

The special edition models celebrate Cadillac’s first-ever endurance racing Manufacturer’s Championship, secured in the first year of the brand’s return to the long-distance sport. The Championship Editions of the ATS-V and CTS-V super is available in Black Raven or Crystal White Tricoat exterior paint with Cadillac V-Performance graphics located on hood and rear spoiler, Red Obsession side-view mirror caps, DPi-V.R graphic on the quarter windows, Red Brembo® brake calipers and forged polish-finished alloy V-Series wheels with Midnight Silver painted pockets.

Highlighting the interior of the Championship Edition is the Morello Red interior detail package that includes Jet Black RECARO® race-inspired seats, red front and rear door armrests and Morello accented high gloss carbon fiber interior trim. Other interior features include the Performance Data Recorder with Cosworth Toolbox, sunroof, the industry leading Rear Camera Mirror and next-generation Cadillac user experience.

Starting today, drivers in the greater Los Angeles and Dallas metro areas can enroll in BOOK by Cadillac, a first-of-its-kind luxury vehicle subscription service that gives members access to a variety of Cadillac vehicles on a month-to-month basis with no long-term commitments. The availability of BOOK by Cadillac in these new pilot markets comes on the heels of overwhelming demand for enrollment in the New York metro area, where the program launched earlier this year.

“Since BOOK by Cadillac was first introduced, we’ve seen widespread enthusiasm and demand from consumers who are seeking ways to complement traditional methods of buying or leasing a vehicle,” said Melody Lee, Global Director, BOOK by Cadillac. “BOOK by Cadillac has introduced entirely new customers to the brand and has been fully embraced by younger audiences as an innovative service that meets their ever-changing needs. Introducing the service in Los Angeles and Dallas is a natural evolution of the program.”

BOOK by Cadillac members in Los Angeles, Dallas and New York have access to a curated selection of vehicles — now including the CT6 PLUG-IN. With BOOK by Cadillac, members can experience the thrill of performance driving in an ATS-V or CTS-V, or explore their local countryside from the driver’s seat of an XT5 or Escalade. The addition of CT6 to all fleets also means members will now have the opportunity to experience Super Cruise, the first true hands-free driving system for the freeway.

Cadillac sold 33,092 units globally in October 2017, maintaining a 17-month run of consecutive growth. Year-to-date sales are up 49,192 units compared to October 2016, totaling 289,705 units.

“For the past 17 months, our global sales have continued to grow, further elevating our standing as a major luxury automaker,” said Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen. “We are building a strong foundation for Cadillac’s long-term success and will continue to increase our momentum with the introduction of the XT4 crossover in 2018.”

China continues to be a strong performing market with sales up by 36.1 percent year over year. Canada, South Korea, Russia and Japan also saw significant growth, while the U.S. market performance remained stable compared to the previous year.
